Points Rule Set Properties / Points Rules Tab

The Points Rules tab lists the points rules that are currently part of this points rules set.

Actions

On the Points Rules tab you can perform the following actions.

Create a new points ruleYou can create a new points rule to add to this set, either working from scratch or by copying an existing rule and modifying it (see Add a Points Rule)
Review rulesYou can review the properties of individual rules. These are visible in the list, but you can also select a rule in the list and click Open .
Delete a points ruleYou can delete a points rule that has been added within your enterprise (see Delete a Points Rule). You cannot delete any points rules that were supplied by the Application Recognition Library.

Properties

The columns that appear in the list vary, depending on the license type to which this points rule set applies. (For a listing of which license types support which control, see What Are Points Rule Sets?). Possible controls are listed here alphabetically. For details about editing these values, see Add a Points Rule.

Computer model noServers with matching model numbers may consume from the linked license.
Earliest purchase dateEarliest hardware purchase that can consume from the linked license.
Applies toDisplays a comma-separated set of values that may be matched against an inventory device's Hosted in setting. If an inventory device's current setting is included in this set, this points rule may be used to calculate license consumption for the device. Special values include On\-premises , matching inventory devices hosted locally within your enterprise; and Any cloud service provider , matching whatever (current or future) cloud service provider's name may be set for the inventory device. Editable in the Points rules tab of the points rule set properties (while creating or editing a points rule).
Latest purchase dateLast date for hardware purchases that can be linked to the attached license.
Max. clock speed (MHz)The fastest processor allowed to consume from the linked license.
Max. coresHighest cores count for servers permitted to consumed from the linked license.
Max. cores per socketThe highest value of (cores/sockets) for a server to consume from the linked license.
Max. processorsHighest count of processors on a server allowed to consume from the linked license.
Max. resourceHighest count of the named resource that allows consumption from the linked license.
Max. socketsHighest count of sockets on a server that can consume from the linked license.
Max. usersSummary for list descriptions
Min. clock speed (MHz)The slowest processor that can consume from the linked license.
Min. coresSummary for list descriptions
Min. cores per socketMinimum value of (cores/sockets) for a server to consume from the linked license.
Min. processorsThe server must have at least this count of processors to consume from the linked license.
Min. resourceMinimum of a named resource to allow consumption from the linked license.
Min. socketsMinimum processor sockets on server for installation to match this rule.
Min. usersThe minimum count of users to match this rule (IBM UVU only).
PointsPoints consumed from the license when an installation matches this rule.
Points rule nameThe name of the points rule.
Processor typeAn expression used to test for matching processors. (A single asterisk matches all processors.)
SourceWhether this points rule came from Flexera, or from your enterprise.
