Virtual Devices and Clusters
The Virtual Devices and Clusters page displays the cluster hierarchy of the virtualization infrastructure detected in your organization. A cluster is a group of virtual machine hosts, each hosting one or more virtual machines. IT Asset Management creates cluster records for discovered Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, Nutanix, and Oracle VM clusters when the cluster inventory is collected. You can also create and manage your cluster hierarchy manually if your cluster hierarchy is not detected for any reason.
In addition to the cluster hierarchies, this page also displays the virtualization infrastructure inventory of the following types:
| Type | More Information |
|---|---|
| Linux KVM | Linux KVM Infrastructure Inventory |
| Linux VMs running on IBM zSystem environments | IBM zSystem Virtual Inventory |
| Microsoft Hyper-V | Microsoft Hyper-V Device and Infrastructure Inventory |
| HP and AIX virtualization (nPar, vPAR, and LPar | nPar, vPar, and LPAR Device and Infrastructure Inventory |
| Oracle VM | Oracle VM Device and Infrastructure Inventory |
| Oracle VM | Oracle VM Device and Infrastructure Inventory |
| Solaris zones | Solaris Zones Inventory |
| VMware | VMware Device and Infrastructure Inventory |
| Nutanix | Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) VM Inventory |

Properties Displayed on the Virtual Devices and Clusters Page
For detailed information on the properties displayed in this list, see Virtual Devices and Clusters Listings Property Reference.
Most lists in IT Asset Management only show a selection of the properties in the underlying database. Some columns are displayed by default and others can be displayed using the column chooser control, including any custom properties that you have added. For information on using the column chooser, see Managing Columns in a Table.
