Customizing an Inventory Agent Configuration

To customize an agent configuration, go to the Agent Configurations page ( Data Collection > Common Inventory Tasks > Agent Configurations ). On this page, you can configure the following attributes of an agent, which affect the gathering of hardware and software inventory:

• The target inventory set to deploy the agent and the inventory beacons for the agent to communicate with. See Specifying Inventory Groups to Which the Agent Configuration Applies.

• Manual deployment or automatic deployment for newly discovered devices. See Editing Inventory Agent Options.

• The version of the agent to be deployed. See Editing Inventory Agent Options.
